GROWING UP WHILE HOLDING ON TO WHO WE WERE
Two children, two worlds, one shared intention: to create a piece able to capture their tastes, their thoughts and their personalities at one specific moment in their childhood.
For her two children's birthdays, Mollie wanted to give them something they could keep and rediscover as they grew up. More than a decorative object, the idea was to capture a fragment of their childhood in an image.
A piece to look at today, and to read differently again in a few years.

01 - BRIEF
CAPTURING A PERSONALITY AT ONE MOMENT IN TIME
For her 8-year-old son, Mollie envisioned a bold, richly detailed world built around the tiger, an animal chosen for its powerful presence. But behind this first impression lay something far more personal.
His tastes, his expressions, his memories and the small details that capture who he is at 8 are woven into the foliage and the drawing itself. Some phrases are worked directly into the leaves, while other, more unexpected elements reveal themselves gradually the longer you look.
For her 13-year-old daughter, the approach is softer and more refined. Her world is built around tropical greenery in powdery tones, with a pink palm tree becoming the guiding thread of her room.
The goal: to create two deeply personal pieces without ever becoming a literal portrait.
02 - CREATION
TWO WORLDS, TWO VISUAL LANGUAGES
For the boy, Cécile imagined a dense, vibrant jungle dominated by a monumental tiger. The composition works on two levels: from afar, a striking, graphic piece; up close, a multitude of personal references hidden within the scene.
Words appear within the foliage, and small objects and symbols blend into the vegetation. The artwork becomes almost a game of discovery, where the child can find fragments of his own everyday life.
For his sister, the palette turns more delicate: powder pink, sage green, beige and natural tones make up a lighter, airier tropical landscape. The drawing keeps Cécile's spontaneous touch while adapting to her world and her room.
03 - DETAILS
A PIECE MEANT TO BE READ TWICE
What makes this project unique lies in all these details that are almost invisible at first glance.
In the boy's artwork, personal phrases follow the lines of the leaves, while references to his passions and everyday life hide within the jungle. The tiger catches the eye first; the child's story reveals itself afterward.
These details turn the artwork into a memory. What may seem obvious or amusing today will, with time, become a precise record of who he was at 8 years old.
A way of turning decor into something deeply intimate.
04 - THE PROCESS
FROM DRAWING TO OBJECT
Every element is designed to find its place within the space it is meant for.
Beyond the illustration itself, the project involves genuine craftsmanship: choosing dimensions, adapting the design to the material, cutting, mounting and finishing are all carried out with care to preserve the coherence of the drawing right through to the final piece.
The image thus leaves the page to become a presence in the room.
05 - FINAL RESULT
ARTWORKS TO GROW WITH THEM
Two very different creations, shaped by two different personalities.
One is dense, colorful and full of details to discover. The other is softer, botanical and delicate, extending even into the objects of the room.
Yet both share the same intention: to preserve a trace of childhood without freezing it into a portrait.
Pieces designed to grow alongside them: familiar today, perhaps nostalgic tomorrow.
